Highest quality childcare is available for children age two through five. We offer so much more than “baby-sitting” for your child. Classes are offered on a three and five days per week, as well as a full day and half day schedule. Our program is state licensed and meets stringent standards. Using the A Beka curriculum, developmental skills for each age-appropriate level are taught in a structured environment. Activities are planned for spiritual, personal, social, language, and cognitive skills. Gross and fine motor skills are also developed. Because of the effectiveness of the program we generally have a waiting list. Call for space availability information.
(Pre-School) Child Development Center
(Ages 2, 3 and 4)
Kindergarten, through fifth grade classes are taught in traditional self-contained classrooms. Reading in the primary grades is taught with a strong, phonics based approach. By grade three students read as a part of the learning process. Children are taught respect, diligence, and obedience to authority, as well as organizational and study skills.
Cursive writing is taught from the kindergarten level. Students learn basic grammar skills, enabling them to apply knowledge to writing opportunities.
History and Science are taught from a Christian world-view, with a focus on patriotism and creation. Mathematics requires learning fundamental operations, then applying these to expanded computations.
All students are taught respect, diligence, and obedience to authority, as well as organizational and study skills. Bible lessons are taught daily, and basic Christian truth is emphasized from the non-denominational perspective.
Middle School (Grades 6,7,8) is an important time in the life of a developing adult. During the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades a student grows, changes, experiments, explores, and discovers the person they are becoming. We acknowledge that every person is unique, with their own needs, style, interest and strengths. At the same time the uniqueness must merge with the broader elements of society.
Recognizing, and respecting the need to integrate these two elements, we strive to create an environment in which students, staff, parents, and community work together, enabling our students to learn. Our students learn to appreciate and apply basic core competencies and enrichments to their own lives.
Students will make responsible choices, valuing themselves, respecting others, and accepting the consequences of their decisions. They will develop the skills of communication, cooperation, and teamwork. Middle school experiences will enable them to transition to high school, college, and to productive lives.
Building on knowledge from earlier levels, high school students continue to expand their knowledge and skills. Students change classes, according to their grade level schedules. We prepare our students to meet state requirements for a college preparatory diploma, along with electives of their choice.
Students study classic literature, grammar, composition, American and World history, government, economics, biology, chemistry, algebra, geometry, Spanish and Bible. Small class sizes and field trip opportunities enable them to expand literary, cultural, and scientific knowledge.
Computers are available to help develop technical and research skills. Health and wellness classes meet state requirements. All of this come from a God-centered world view.
