organisms, transfer of energy in organisms, cell structure and function,
continuity and change in living things, diversity of living things, and
biology related career oportunities.
Chemistry: This course presents the student with the foundational ideas
behind atomic structure, bonding, kinetic theory, solutions, equilibrium,
thermodynamics, acid-base chemistry, electrochemistry, and nuclear
chemistry. In this course, emphasis is placed on the development of
chemical principles, and problem solving techniques. Laboratory
experiences are central in the course. A scientific calculator is
required.
10th Grade Computer/Keyboarding: This course is designed to introduce the
letter keyboard, the figure and symbol keyboard, and the keypad to the
student so they can operate them with dexterity and continuity using the
touch method. it also asquaints studetns with various formats of business

systems.
8th Grade ACT Prep: This is a one semester course which is designed to
help the students take a college entrance exam called th ACT assessment.
This three hour standardized test plays a crucial part in whether or not
the students are accepted to the college or universities of their choice.
The main reason for this course is to prepare you to take the ACT. You
will also learn the format, the kind of questions asked, the time limits
and what the exam measures. This class will also give you general tips, as
well as proven strategies that are specific to the ACT exam.
8th Grade Computer Class: This is a one semester course which will discuss
current and emerging information systems and networking systems. We will
introduce the letter keyboard, the figure and symbol keyboard and the
keypad to the students so they can operate them with dexterity and
cotinuity using the touch method. The students will learn skills necessary
in problem solving using current and emerging information technology as it
relates to business and professional careers.
