MIDDLE/HIGH – FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Introduction to Latin - This is a 7th and 8th grade class. The curriculum for this course is First Latin, a language discovery program. First Latin provides the students with a means of looking at language structure by showing very clearly how Latin operates differently in some respects from English. It engages students in the joy of discovering just how powerful, marvelous, and interesting human language is.

Spanish I – This Bob Jones curriculum teaches the student how to ask and answer questions, give and follow directions, purchase items, make small talk, and present the gospel. This course includes a study of Spanish speaking culture.

Spanish II – In this Bob Jones curriculum the student will learn how to communicate at an intermediate level in a store, a bank, an airport, a hotel, a doctor’s office, and an auto shop. They will get an overview of grammatical structure and learn Scripture passages. Students will become skilled and comfortable expressing themselves in Spanish.
