Welcome to Fourth Grade
Fourth-graders are growing increasingly independent. Peer relationships are very important and recess time is a period of constant negotiation about rules and fairness. Fourth-graders want to feel competent, and they enjoy mastering factual material. At the same time, they are more able to deal with abstract concepts and to see the world from multiple perspectives.
